Vein Care
Vincent Vein Center offers a variety of vein care services. We provide personalized care and treatment options for each patient. Unlike larger vein clinics, we take the time to know each patient. No matter what concerns you have with your veins, we can assist you in determining the right vein care plan for you. Below is a list of our areas served.
Treatment Options
Endovenous Laser Treatment and Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy are just a few of the vein care services we offer. Endovenous Laser Treatment is specifically for much larger veins in high-pressure areas. This vein care treatment is meant to repair damaged veins. A small fiber is inserted into the damaged vein, and then laser light heats the vein. This causes the vein tissue to interact with the laser, which allows the vein to close. The veins that close are superficial. After that process, the blood is routed to other healthy veins to move blood back to the heart.
Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy
Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy is ideal for small to medium-sized varicose veins. Especially for those near the skin’s surface. The medication causes the vein to spasm and flatten. Over the period of 3-6 months, the vein dissolves. Fortunately, there are no serious side effects of this vein care treatment. In some cases, Endovenous Laser Treatment and Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy are used in conjunction.
Cosmetic Vein Care
Visual Sclerotherapy is used for spider veins. Insurance does not cover this vein care treatment because it is purely cosmetic. There is usually no pain with spider veins, however, there can be minor irritation in the affected area. Usually, patients want them removed for appearance. A series of medications are injected into the spider veins, which irritates the vessels. This causes the spider veins to spasm immediately and shrink, and eventually dissolve over a few weeks after treatment. The blood will reroute naturally back to healthy veins. Maintenance treatments are required, usually every 2 to 3 years. This treatment doesn’t require anesthesia.
